Maybe the key news is that the battle royale mode will be free-to-play. Similar to established titles, you do not need to own the base game to participate. The intense thrill during encounters with opposing teams is unique in different BR game. It's like do or die, and you actually care if you make it or not.
Despite being a skeptic earlier, I'm completely a fan of the battle royale since trying it.
Such early impressions from players have been overwhelmingly favorable. Of course, the experience may have changed over the past month or two in terms of game balance and speed. But, early signs are positive that the battle royale could become a real competitor to leading titles. Players are expecting that the top weapons from the main game will carry over in the BR.
