In the extremely cutthroat world of video games, it's usual for fresh competitors to fade away as rapidly as they enter the landscape.

However Battlefield 6 is striving to shift that dynamic.

Here comes the most recent addition in a established combat FPS franchise commonly described as a grittier alternative to the CoD series.

Building On Past Errors

The game follows the back of the sci-fi the last installment, published in the past to a unfavorable reception it found it hard to overcome.

"It's likely that we would not be able to make and develop this new game lacking the lessons we acquired in the previous title," Rebecka tells the press.

One of those lessons was to get the community participating soon, and the team started invite-only community playtests earlier this year.

This "feedback was extremely encouraging," states she.

One more absent ingredient from the previous installment was a single-player campaign, which has been brought back in this version.

The UK studio creative lead Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the individual in charge of "guaranteeing those levels are as fun and engaging as possible for the gamers."

Despite claims that the size of the title had put a strain on the multiple teams partnering across continents to build the game, Fas is upbeat about the work.

"Working with diverse cultures, varied experiences, it's a very fascinating atmosphere to be part of on a regular basis," he says.

"This entire approach has been a fresh take but also really inspiring because we are partnering with individuals from internationally."

Concerning the anticipation on the crew, Fas says: "We feel pressure but at the same time it's exciting.

"It's a major project. It's arguably the most significant that most of us have ever been involved in."

Emerging Developer Brings New Insight

That's certainly correct of a minimum of one team member, visual designer Vlad.

The 21-year-old creates the lighting elements that shape the mood, style, and focus of the story mode.

He undertook an work placement at the developer preceding securing a role there, and now works on a part-time basis while concluding his digital arts qualification at his school.

The developer states he's a long-standing enthusiast of the Battlefield series, and remembers enjoying the earlier title of the series at a pal's home when he was younger.

Working on it now, as his debut professional role, "is hard to believe as actual."

"It's very amazing observing the marketing in many places," he comments.

"Realizing that I have contributed my individual work into the project is really surreal."
