Soccer Analyst Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by the Black Cats before the global break, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Family Life

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games over time - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend football team," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be quite close, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only on the road victory this season came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I will choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

A family member advised me to get Bees forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a danger.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many goals but it in reality turns out to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their performance in the two-all draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
